Very unusual story with lots of twists and turns. Held my interest throughout

3.5. Definitely one of the more unique ways to get to a second chance romance.
Thank you for this heartwarming and exciting love story about Nina and Benny. Although there was much heartbreak in both their lives, their deep love found a path to happily ever after. I look forward to reading more of your work.
This book had me all in from the first page. Sweet and sad! The characters of Nina and Benny were written beautifully. Your childhood friend do stay with you forever no matter what happens as years go by. I can't even describe my feelings right now. I will just say that this book was amazing and a must read
I think this book is advertised as a suspense novel. The book starts off immediately with action and a crime. A few pages later the heroine witnesses another crime. But after that, it is a love story, a very good love story.
At first I hated the heroine. She just wouldn't shut up. I wanted her kidnapper to just keep her mouth taped shut. But then I would just have to hear what she was thinking. Fortunately she gets better, even like-able. Of course the story wasn't completely plausible. But it is a fiction love story. I liked it enough to read another book by this author.
Nina and Ben are childhood best friends until tragedy separates them and life moves on. For Nina she goes on with her life and rebels while in college like some do and then goes on to work at a fancy resort in Puerto Rico. It's there her life takes a crazy turn and she's left with so many questions and few answers. Ben has always loved Nina. She was his bright spot in a sad childhood. He's always watched from afar. When a murder takes place and Nina is a witness they come face to face.
I got this book on a whim. I'm a cover girl that's the one thing that draws me in every time. Sometimes I win sometimes I lose and this time was a winner. You start to think maybe Nina has Stockholm Syndrome until you delve deeper into their past. This was a good book with mystery and drama and that wonderful HEA. I'd certainly read more by this author
