Funk Keyboard for Beginners edition by Mark Harrison Arts Photography eBooks
This is a good and inexpensive book on 'Funk Keyboard' to start with. Don't expect a lot of information for the price! The rhythms are quite challenging in this beginners book. It would help if you had some knowledge of chords and chord progressions before starting the book. The author meticulously draws the reader's attention to details in each example - and how examples are similar and/or different to earlier examples (perhaps a bit 'over-the-top' for some readers?)
A sentence or two in the introduction about the chief characteristics of 'funk' would have been helpful - though by the end of the book you would probably know.
My only quibble is with the PDFs. Yes, they are an improvement over the examples in the ebook - they are clearer. However, each example is provided on a fresh page (even when an example contains only one measure with one staff!). This results in 22 pages with a lot of white space. Also, the finger numbers are still not as clear as they should be. This is due to the placement of finger numbers within the staves and to a poor choice in the font used (the numbers look a bit like squiggles).

Funk Keyboard for Beginners edition by Mark Harrison Arts Photography eBooks Reviews
Oh my, I wish I had purchased this book years ago!
I canot download on device laptop window8
Cheap and helpful.
The book itself is very good and a nice introduction, the problem is that still havent figured out how to embed images with half decent quality.
Excellent book--the author explains everything very clearly, and provides free MP3 and PDF files upon email request of all the examples. Mark also has a lot of great videos on his YouTube channel covering many different keyboard styles, including funk. When you've mastered this beginners book, get his more comprehensive title, "R & B Keyboard." Have fun and enjoy funking out!
I'm a guitar player interested in Funk. From the first lesson I got ideas I can use with both instruments. A good investment for the price.
Extremely affordable and it packs some nice tasty funky stuff, it is simple, brief, ideal for beginners.
I emailed them, they sent me a pdf file with better quality, bigger fonts and audio.
